Ralph Nader Joins the Race

I saw Ralph Nader on Meet The Press this morning announce that he is officially joining the presidential race. I’m actually glad to see him enter, as I was feeling like there was no one running that I could vote for.

While I can’t say that I support everything that Nader has positions on, I will say that I support most of them and I bet an awful lot of people feel the same. The fact that he actually has positions rather than bull_ _ _ _ sound bites that the other candidates use is refreshing. I’d go so far as to say that the other candidates are not happy at all with entry and will do just about anything they can not to have him included in any presidential debates. He will talk about issues that none of the candidates are willing to. They’re way too afraid of disenfranchising the special interests that got them there in the first place.

These people are complete narcissists and would be willing to do or say anything to keep their job. Every single one of them has reversed positions and simply said what they think people want to hear. They have no integrity, ethics, and are completely bought and paid for by special interests. They will offer no actual opinions and as far as I’m concerned have all betrayed the trust the public has placed in them over the years. They care only for power. They don’t care about the US people or the US government. They care about themselves only.

If you’re like me you have stayed away from voting your heart and mind opting for the lesser of two evils because the traditional third party candidates are not strong enough to win. Well that’s over for me, beginning now.

I have serious issues with the two main parties that are today our main choices. They are controlled by special interests and by and large don’t even remotely represent what I want for this county, its leadership, and our place in the world. I will no longer support these folks with my vote, efforts, or finances. If they are going to win, they’re going to have to do it without me. I hope many of you feel the same way.

Here’s a list of issues we’d all like to see them talk about from Nader’s site. I bet you have a few of your own that you’d like to talk about too. Do you think they even care!
