Rachel picked up a new {used} car in Japan about a month ago. Really looks like a nice car, particularly when you consider that she only paid about 800 USD for it.
Looks like cars are fairly inexpensive over there, plus I hear that they get great gas mileage. Maybe we should have them send more of them over here.
Generally speaking, my sense is that our large automotive companies are so far behind the product curve that they will continue to loose market share domestically and on a worldwide basis. They really need to reinvent themselves.
