I’ve been busy lately adding tools and templates to the ETP Store.
I recently added a Mutual NDA (Non Disclosure Agreeement) Template. This is a very simple Agreement that I’ve used effectively for years.
One of the reasons that I went to a “Mutual NDA” is because so many of the NDAs that are presented by companies, particularly when doing consulting and professional services work are completely one sided. Further, I have often experienced situations where the company includes language in their agreement that attempts to get or keep the intellectual property that you produce during the engagement.
This type of thinking in my view is very “old school” and I think most consultants find it offensive and restrictive for them to continue to practice their profession.
The Mutual Non Disclosure Agreement that is listed in the ETP Store is fair for both parties. I have found that many companies are quite willing to sign this form.
