I will cover industry trade events that I attend or speak at, with my thoughts and helpful links to papers, tools, and resources. I’ll talk about people I meet and companies that I work with in one aspect or another.
There will be a reasonable amount of software tool discussion and recommendation. These will go from the mundane to the sublime. I will provide useful links from here so you can find and install them easily. I have found that even links for simple things like IM, Editors, Backup, PDF Writers, etc, can be extremely helpful. Most of the software will be freeware for windows that I have personally used, so when I give an evaluation it comes from personal experience.
